Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the BAPPELITBANGDA Hall of West Pasaman Regency, the Head of the West Sumatra BPS, Sugeng Arianto, gave directions in the Sectoral Statistics Development and Launching of the Beautiful Village of West Pasaman Regency in 2024. Also present at the event were the Deputy Regent of West Pasaman Regency, Risnawanto and the Head of the West Pasaman BPS, Bambang Suryanggono. In addition to the ranks of the West Pasaman Regency Government, this event was also attended by the Village Head and the Kapa Village Apparatus who in 2024 will be the locus for the development of the Statistics Love Village in West Pasaman.

Sugeng, in his presentation explained that Villages/Sub-districts/Nagari are the spearhead of development as well as the spearhead of sectoral data collection. He further explained that this development is expected to increase literacy, awareness and the active role of village/sub-district/nagari officials and the community in organizing statistical activities. so that in the future the use of statistical data can run optimally for targeted development.
