Abstract

Pada tahun 2020, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) Sumatera Barat mencapai 72,38. Angka ini menurun sebesar 0,01 poin atau lebih rendah sebesar 0,01 persen dibandingkan tahun 2019.
Bayi yang lahir pada tahun 2020 memiliki harapan untuk dapat hidup hingga 69,47 tahun, lebih lama 0,16 tahun dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Anak-anak yang pada tahun 2020 berusia 7 tahun memiliki harapan dapat menikmati pendidikan selama 14,02 tahun, lebih lama 0,01 tahun dibandingkan dengan tahun 2019. Sementara itu, penduduk usia 25 tahun ke atas secara rata-rata telah menempuh pendidikan selama 8,99 tahun, lebih lama 0,07 tahun dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya.
Pada tahun 2020, masyarakat Sumatera Barat memenuhi kebutuhan hidup dengan rata-rata pengeluaran per kapita sebesar 10,733 juta rupiah per tahun, lebih rendah 192 ribu rupiah dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya
