Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) is one of the economic data that can be used to evaluate the performance of economic development of a region (province and Regency/municipality). This data set can also be used for the benefit and other purposes, such as the basis for the development of economic models in order to formulate policies, an accelerating rate of money supply (velocity of money), the deepening of the financial sector (financial deepening), tax assessment, assessment of export and import and so on. According to macroeconomic theory, the calculation of the GDP can be done through three approaches, namely: approach the production/provision (GRDP by Industrial Origin/industry), expenditure approach / final demand (GDP according to the expenditure / expenditure) and the income approach (GRDP by revenue / income) , The third approach is the theoretical calculation will produce the GDP numbers are the same. This publication specifically discuss about the GDP By Expenditure province of Sumatera Barat second quarter of 2016. This publication has been prepared in order to give an overview of the economic performance in the period. This approach is broken down into several components, namely: Household Consumption Expenditure, Consumption Expenditure of Non Profit Serving Households, Government Consumption, Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Changes Inventory), Export Foreign Import, Foreign Affairs, and Net Exports inter-regional (inter-regional exports minus imports between regions). GRDP data in this publication and subsequent publications using the base year 2010, and has adopted the concept of the System of National Accounts 2008 as recommended by the United Nations.
