Public Agency Presentation on Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Information Disclosure

Head of the BPS-Statistics of West Sumatra Province, Sugeng Arianto, held a presentation (Public Test) on Public Agency Information Disclosure before the Information Commission of West Sumatra Province at the Istana Bung Hatta, Bukittinggi. This presentation is part of the assessment of the PPID (Public Information Disclosure Officer) of BPS-Statistics of West Sumatra Province as one of the top three (3) in the vertical agency category.

In his presentation, Sugeng stated that in 2024, as part of the commitment to public agency information disclosure, BPS, in collaboration with the Information Commission, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the monitoring and evaluation of PPID up to the district/city level of BPS.

Public information disclosure is a means to optimize public oversight of state administration and other public bodies, as well as anything that affects the public interest. The management of public information is also an effort to develop an information society. It is hoped that in the future, public services at BPS-Statistics of West Sumatra Province can continue to improve toward perfection.
