Food Consumption Patterns of the Population of Sumatera Barat Province 2023

The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) is an annual routine survey carried out by BPS. The data collected is quite complex from various aspects of fulfilling life's needs such as clothing, food, shelter, education and health. This data is a source for calculating various indicators. The publication of Food Consumption Patterns for the Population of Sumatera Barat Province 2023 specifically presents food data. Food is part of Human Rights (HAM) as stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Leaders in various countries, including Indonesia, have pledged their commitment to achieving food security. The publication of Food Consumption Patterns for the Population of Sumatera Barat Province 2023 uses data from the March 2023 Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas). The data presented includes quantity data on food consumption for 197 commodities as well as data on calorie and protein consumption. In the attachment, data for 2023 at the district/city level is presented because the sample is sufficient for estimates up to the district/city level.
