Abstract

Early information, such as the offender`s perception of consumption to the economic situation, is a very important need for all parties. The early information is needed by governments, businesses, and consumer society, because it can provide early signals about changes in economic conditions over the coming months. Since 20111, BPS provinces throughout Indonesia have been monitoring early indicator by calculating the Consumer Tendency Index. Consumer Tendency Index is calculated based on the Consumer Tendency Survey. In the province of Sumatera Barat The survey is conducted quarterly in four areas, namely Agam, Padang City, Solok and Bukittinggi.
